Position Purpose

This position is responsible to manage the CAPEX Projects as well as to manage support in the implementation of the Maintenance programs in the Plants operation. It is also the responsibility of this position to manage Suppliers and Contractors in Manufacturing Operations to ensure alignment to the Company policies and guidelines as well as regulatory requirements.

Principal Accountabilities

Manages the CAPEX budget and Project of the Plants aligned to the business needs and directions.

  • Reviews and Analyzes Capex proposals (documentation, bidding, etc.)

  • Recommends Capex proposal for next level approval

  • Manages approved Capex budgets and allocations

  • Manages Capex project implementation, monitoring and tracking

  • Evalautes projects for acceptance/completion

Manages support in the implementation of the Maintenance programs in the Plants

  • Ensures Maintenance Systems and Programs are updated

  • Cascades Global and Region Maintenance directions/new technologies to the Plant

  • Provides support for the effective Maintenance implementation

  • Monitors and track Maintenance effectiveness for continuous immprovement

New Product Innovations and New Technology

  • Lead in the development of new product from the Plant Operations side in collaboration/support with SMT/RMS and other functions.

  • Determine the Plant Capability to produced new innovated products

  • Manages the identification, Analysis and installation of new Technology for the Plants

Manages Suppliers and Contractors for Manufacturing Operations

  • Establsihes Suppliers accreditation to ensure compliance to all Company and regulatory requirements including EHS.

  • Establish list of accredited suppliers

  • Establsihes Suppliers evaluation and assessment to ensure compliance

  • Establish contractors accreditation through contract management

  • Manage contractors’ compliance through regular evaluation/compliance audit


Education, Experience, Skills

  • Graduate of any engineering course or related courses

  • With Project Management Training

  • Knowledgeable on all applicable laws and regulations for managing projects, suppliers and contractors

  • Extensive Manufacturing work experience

  • Experience inhandling complex projects (preferred feed mills operations)

  • Ability to understand and analyze data, issues and manage a project from conception to implementation

  • Strategic-thinker, team-oriented multi-tasker with excellent communication skills

  • Excellent people handling skills as well as Suppliers and contractors management skills

  • Has the ability to anticipate problem/issues that may arise during project implementation

  • Can manage conflicts and can facilitate investigations using tools such as 5 Why’s, Root-cause analysis, etc.

  • Self-motivated and can work under pressure and extended hours

  • Computer literate and knowledgeable of manufacturing work practices
