Job Description

Job Purpose Statement

  • To develop, design training structure & methods to support people development as well as business expansion

  • To cooperate with relative department to manage internal knowledge

  • To facilitate operations procedure and process (S.O.P., Standard Operation Procedure) to create working standards within retails

  • To implement and conduct training programs for retail operations and sales staff;

  • To monitor training programs and evaluate effectiveness to ensure ongoing feedback and improvement in place

  • To ensure consistency of training program and knowledge with other markets in Asia, so that we are recognized as offering a superior service to our dealers.

  • To participate in learning design, implement for managerial staff to uplift their capabilities.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To develop a training system as well as training effectiveness system and set a training target to meet company strategies

  • To develop capability of Adjunct Trainer among retail talents to lead seasonal product training

  • Deliver training programs and provide field coaching for sales team

  • Identify training needs for the respective region both retail and wholesale team

  • To create partnership with retail and wholesale team to better understand and meet their training needs

  • To adapt resources from DTC Retail Academy and tailor-made training materials to cope with the development of business and company strategies

  • To maintain updated training database and advise technical guidelines and assist monitoring and enhance training productivity

  • To participate in various training and HR projects/initiatives (e.g. advancement criterion, talent development, succession plan)

  • To organize and conduct training programs to dealers’ trainer operations and sales staffs

  • To provide KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for staff performance evaluation/grading. (E.g. retail training level attainment, product level training attainment, etc.)

  • To assist in forming S.O.P. team to create/revise internal procedure and process

  • To join in buildup e-learning / Mobile- learning platform to fulfill learning needs from retails and dealers

  • To make regular shop visit to expedite program of sales and service skills

  • To take travel around Singapore, Malaysia and Asia key distributors (Indonesia / Thailand as 1st priority, followed by Australia / New Zealand) regularly for support of retail shop staff and wholesale staff

  • To support on develop and implement the retail academy

  • Retail Talent Management (Co-work with HR)

  • Drive Retail Step-up Program with HR and leverage with VF’s resources

  • Assist Talent Review project hosted by HR

  • Support Remuneration Package Review driven by HR

  • Drive HIPO performance tracking plan for improvement

  • Enhance VF’s Maximizing Performance Program for local market’s adaptation.

  • Retail Talent Development (Leverage from VF DTC)

  • Assist seasonal Retail Summit organization and content development for product knowledge training, best practice sharing.

  • Cascade the resources from AHQ merchandising and marketing to develop seasonal product training program for Retail and wholesale staffs. (Timberland Boot Camp / Napapijri Adventure Camp / Kipling Happy Camp / Vans )

  • Adapt VF’s competence-oriented training program to fit into the demands of Timberland Step-up program for Sales Associate and above

  • Align with VF’s HIPO training program to grow the talent pools for store managers and above

  • Design Training The Trainer for markets with strong business profile of Wholesaler
