The iLab Operations Software is a web-based SaaS solution for core laboratory management, serving top research, analytical laboratories and organisations across the globe. The solution supports academic “core facilities”, quality control and testing laboratories in a range of markets including pharmaceuticals and food. iLab provides value to customers by supporting many aspects of their laboratory operations workflow. We are seeking a person who has direct experience managing such laboratory environments and/or who is an experienced sales person who understands laboratory operations in one or more of our target markets.
This Account Manager (Intermediate) position is with Agilent Technologies and the role will focus on selling the iLab Operations Software in the designated region and responsibility includes the following:
Responsible for selling the iLab suite of products in the designated region(s) via web conference and/or in person sales meetings.
collaboration with Marketing on lead generation;
using a range of available resources to develop new sales opportunities;
giving product demonstrations to potential clients;
developing price proposals, quotes, negotiating price and project plans;
navigate complex purchasing environments;
ongoing support and relationship management with closed accounts.
Attend conferences on iLab’s behalf as an exhibitor with the main goal of manning iLab’s booth but may also include giving product demonstrations and/or presentations.
Interpret customer needs and work to meet those needs; identifies potential business opportunities, able to handle leads independently
Works on sales assignments with broadly defined objectives
Solves some non-routine issues, challenges and problems within field of specialization.
Bachelor’s degree, or comparable experience
3-6 years of experience in sales or research related field
Direct experience selling software such as LIMS or ELN to academic, hospital or commercial research organisations would be desirable.
Applicants with a deep understanding of the management or operations of research laboratories or “core facilities” would be desirable.
Ability to quickly grasp customer requirements and propose creative solutions
Outstanding communication and organizational skills
Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem solving skills
Ability to build and foster good relationships
Ability to balance competing priorities
Team oriented perspective
Requires general proficiency with tools, systems and procedures to accomplish job.
