The successful incumbent will be responsible in developing and managing a robust compensation and benefits structure, policies and processes in order to meet the changing needs of the business.
She / he will provide support, coordinate and may lead Compensation projects for countries in the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Potential candidate based in the Middle East is preferred. If the person is based in Kuala Lumpur, proficiency in Chinese language is an added advantage. The person will report directly to Total Rewards Manager – Middle East & Asia Pacific, BHGE.
Analyze multiple Compensation Surveys such as Mercer TRS, MOSS, Towers Watson, Hays and HRBS
Conduct extensive market analysis to ensure pay competitiveness for talent attraction and retention.
ANNUAL FOCAL POINT FOR TOTAL REWARDS ACTIVITES – MERIT/ANNUAL STI AND LTI EXERCISE
Coordinate, implement and administer (where applicable) the reward process from eligibility, data cleansing and payment made to final reporting, etc.
Drive Compensation Philosophy through pay for performance
BASE PAY STRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT AND REVIEW
Analyze country Base Pay structure to ensure it is in line with market movement within the available budget
Perform in-depth evaluation of the existing structure to identify the local pay issue such as structural oversight and impractical pay administration
Highlight anomalies or local pay practices that may affect internal equity
Design, develop and implement reasonable and well-received Country Base Pay structure
Restructure the existing country base pay as an effective tool in managing pay
VARIABLE PAY PLAN DEVELOPMENT AND REVIEW
Work collectively with Local Human Resource Business Partners / Managers and Product Line Leaders to design, build and implement the field bonuses for all Product Lines
Review the existing rate to align with market situation
PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND CONSULTATION
Properly assess the business needs, manage client interactions and expectations as well as deliver effective solutions concerning compensation.
Recommend approaches to facilitate the effective delivery of pay programs and related policies.
Work with HRBP to rectify compression issue to maintain internal equity with the intended pay disparity pattern
Apply control point exception to appropriately position certain niche jobs to be reflective of local market
Improve value-added process by eliminating what’s not working well and streamlining steps
Drive standard structures and roles within the organization.
Identify cost saving opportunities in respond to market downturn and business needs
BA /BS in Business, Economics, Finance or HR related.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources including 3 years’ experience in C&B in a complex environment
Good analytical skills
Strong Ms Excel Spreadsheet skills
Understand salary survey matching methodologies.
Good communication and writing skills
Able to work under limited supervision following standardized practices
