Purpose of the Role
The job holder is responsible for the management, and implementation of multiple complex projects within the Business Unit working with internal/external operational teams under BT Radianz Hosting Product.
Performs a consultancy role by interacting with BTID design teams and client technical teams.
Responsible for project governance, reporting and risk management/mitigation.
Interfaces with other units ensuring that projects are consistently delivered to industry standard.
Attends sign-on/sign-off meetings, takes away any noncompliant issues, and liaises with BTID to formulate a plan to deliver non-standard components by the due date as agreed at the sign-on/sign-off meeting. Confirms technical compliance to current service catalogue definitions.
Demonstrates thought leadership during the project life cycle, from pre-planning to final implementation. Is looked to as the subject matter expert of the Product Catalogue.
Stays informed and current on the latest industry trends. Provides recommendations to evolve current product offerings to fit and adapt to new customer requirements.
Anticipates potential roadblocks to the successful implementation of customer installations and proactively recommends options to mitigate any potential risks to project delivery.
Interfaces with Director-level and C-level (customer) executives while participating in Pre-Sales calls and planning the implementation of new, complex implementations.
Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of changes into the change management system such that changes secure Right First Time approval and successful implementation. Ensure that all resources are adequate and available to complete a change. Fully evaluate the impact of all changes. Participate, as requested, in the review and timely approval of changes submitted to the technology team in line with reasonable requests.
Have overall responsibility for customer testing and integration of BT Radianz service delivery, ensuring customer's service is configured and commissioned to meet the customer and BT's acceptance standards, and meets necessary regulator.
Broad technical knowledge of networking and server technologies.
Understanding the Data Center hosting operation environment and trend.
Working in the Financial industry for service delivery is advantage
Provide guidance and support to others. Completes own role independently or with minimal supervision/guidance.
Has developed specialist knowledge in own area.
Applies knowledge/skills to a range of standard and non-standard activities. Interprets client needs, assessing the full requirements.
Identifies solutions to non-standard tasks/queries.
Awareness of internal/ external business issues and best practice in own discipline which is then applied to own role.
