The opportunity

EY’s Performance Improvement Advisory professionals bring a wealth of experience in working with major financial institutions to align their operating model and infrastructure to their business’ strategic objectives. We assemble the right multi-disciplinary teams, use consistent and proven global methodologies and tools, and draw on the full breadth of EY’s global network, to deliver value and trusted advice to the clients. The key service offerings cover finance function transformation, customer and distribution effectiveness, operations, shared services / outsourcing support, performance management, program advisory, enterprise intelligence, risk management and regulatory change.

Your key responsibilities

As markets rapidly change and develop, finance functions must demonstrate real added value to their business. The type of projects we cover are:

  • Benchmarkingto drive best practice and cost efficiency

  • Developfinance transformation strategy and organizational design

  • Conductfinance operating model transformation, such as shared services andoutsourcing analysis

  • Developbusiness requirement of client finance application based on financetransformation design

  • Conductfinance process reengineering in closing, procurement to payment, treasuryand cash management, budgeting and planning, performance management basedon client’s finance application or ERP platform

  • Regulatoryprojects covering IFRS9, IFRS17 and others

In your role as a Manager / Senior Manager you will have responsibility to:

  • Secureand enhance relationships with senior client management

  • Manageday-to-day client relationships whilst delivering value to the client byproviding insightful knowledge into business improvement

  • Workwith Partners and Executive Directors to ensure client satisfaction

  • Havea solid understanding of our service offerings and actively identify wayswe can improve our service offering to clients

  • Be atrusted advisor to clients

  • Identifynew business opportunities and building upon existing client networks

  • Manageengagement economics, communicating significant issues, fees and estimatesto Partners and Clients

  • Contributeto people initiatives, coaching and mentoring teams to encouragedevelopment of individuals and the practice

  • Liaisewith service line teams, functional specialists and Area Partners tosupport client development initiatives

  • Operations andprocess improvement

  • RiskManagement

  • Treasury

  • Financialmanagement and finance function improvement (operational accounting,statutory reporting, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting)

  • Regulatoryreporting

Toqualify for the role you must have

  • Bacheloror Master Degree with minimum 5 years for Manager and 8 to 10 years for Senior Manager of working experience, preferably in abusiness consulting role in a leading consultancy firm. Candidates with lesser experience willbe considered at Manager level

  • Specialistknowledge of finance & control processes and systems in financialservices

  • Specialistknowledge of and experience with market developments, regulation and (IT)innovations and the impact of this on the finance operating model

  • Experiencein designing, supervising and managing large-scale improvement programs

  • Provenexperience as a program manager, coach and team player

  • Comprehensiverelationship network in the financial sector

  • Demonstratedkey subject matter expert with the ability to develop thought leadershipand deliver solutions for clients

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Professional qualification suchas ICAEW, ACCA, ACA, MICPA

  • Leading ERP finance module experience

  • Strong stakeholder managementskills in understanding strategic direction and being able to convert intocohesive change management strategy and plans

  • Desire to build / develop a careerin advising our clients with organisational wide improvements and industryinsight

  • Strong interest and commitmentto understanding and developing leading edge finance solutions to ourindustry clients

  • Ability to develop clientopportunities and identify market growth opportunities

  • Ability to support the businessdevelopment cycle
