Role Summary:

Full - Time Regular

Reporting to the EFO EH (Eastern Hemisphere) Regional Accounting Center Director, the Inventory Accounting and Reporting Manager will be based in KL and responsible for overseeing the KL RAC Inventory team for processing, controlling, recording and monitoring all aspects of inventory valuation and management, including costing, obsolescence, purchasing, price variances, landed costs, stock movements and physical warehousing.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various monthly inventory accounting functions, including slow moving and obsolete inventory analysis, freight accrual analysis, capitalization of freight/duties, capitalization and amortization of variances, scrap monitoring and physical stock counts

  • Monitor inventory counts in the region

  • Standardization of inventory close and non-close processes across all Product Lines

  • Identifying and implementing best practices for Inventory Accounting

  • Ensure compliance with established standard policies and procedures

  • Provide data needed for proper inventory reporting

  • Work closely with FP&A and Operations to ensure completeness and integrity of financial information

  • Essential qualifications/requirements


  • Extensive knowledge of Baker Hughes policies

  • Knowledge of Baker Hughes’ financial data

  • Team management

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to interact with senior leadership

  • Cross-product line BHI experience


  • High proficiency in MS Office skills required

  • SAP Financial System knowledge required

  • Understanding of Hyperion Reporting required


  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent required

  • Professional accounting certification such as CPA, CA, or local equivalent certification, or MBA in Finance/Master in Finance required

  • 15+ years of finance related job experience including 5+ years management experience required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Cost Accounting and Inventory Accounting experience is required

  • Cross-product line BHI experience strongly preferred
