Position Purpose & Summary:

The Territory Manager for CFN Malaysia has the responsibility of developing Cargill’s livestock value-added nutritional solutions business in West Malaysia. The candidate is responsible for the financial performance in his/her assigned territory. This position manages direct sales to commercial animal producers andincludes building, developing, and maintaining internal/external customer/client relationships; researching and identifying customer’s needs to ultimately create and propose solutions. Work activities include presenting/developing solutions recommendations, structuring, negotiating, and executing the sales contracts as well as setting targets and measuring results.

Principal Accountabilities

50% Drive Profitable Growth - Has responsibility for direct selling to customers in commercial farming operations utilizing market and customer knowledge in product application and farm management. Partner with senior commercial leadership team and strategic pricing to manage margin growth consistent with pricing protocol and business strategies, along with sales accounts receivables management.

20% Build Deep Customer Partnership - Develop deep knowledge of customer’s business, current industry trends and potential new business opportunities. Gain first-hand customer information of current and future needs and translate into improvements in products and services. Understand and influence customers’ employees/stakeholders by understanding and leveraging their contributions.

15% Sell Technical Solutions - Develop and grow Trusted Advisor partnerships with target customers based on nutritional solutions expertise. Ability to influence customer to make purchase commitment based upon Cargill's distinctive value, product and services offerings. Stay current on product and services innovations. Pro-actively develop technical skills and expertise facilitated by our Technical Services Team and Industry Leading Practitioner framework to build and sustain superiority in applied animal nutrition.

15% Leadership and Connectivity - Connect and leverage full Cargill capabilities across different Cargill business. Pro-active teamwork to contribute to the overall key account management goals. Build internal and external network of relevant stakeholders to strengthen species specific technical-commercial insights and reinforce an active Cargill image.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Preference - University diploma/degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, and related fields. Those with equivalent or relevant industry or sales experience are also encouraged to apply.

  • Strong agricultural business acumen, nutritional and farm management advisory, and training skills is an added advantage.

  • Demonstrated track record in value-based sales.

  • Strong interpersonal relationship-building and influencing skills.

  • Self-starter, but team player with ability to work in a diverse, multicultural environment.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese/Mandarin.
