1.Brand planning

  • Preparation of annual MBP (marketing business plan) / 5 Year Strategic Plans, including pricing structures and identifying growth opportunities within the market place

  • Successful execution of annual MBP and strategies once approved by Global Brand Team.

  • Monitor all aspects of brand performance and recommend strategic / tactical changes of direction to ensure objectives / targets are achieved

  • Regular communication with the Sales department to ensure clear understanding of brand positioning / objectives / target consumer & distribution strategies to ensure implementation of agreed strategies and activities to ensure that these are in line with brand objectives

  • Close contract with key customers / outlets and consumers to ensure clear understanding of consumer motivations / habits / preference and industry trends

  • Monitor competitors' movements / activities and recommend reactive/protective strategies

2.Advertising and Promotions

  • Manage and work with all relevant external agencies to ensure understanding of brand's objectives and strategies. Work with them closely to develop and implement activities to the highest level of professional excellence

  • Develop ATL plans (Digital strategy, media strategy & PR strategy) and creative content to support those amplification plans

  • Monitoring, control and evaluation of advertising and promotion spends. Ensure deployment is done effectively and efficiently according to the annual marketing plan

  • Ensure agencies are compliant to MHD Code of Business Conduct and evaluate annually

3.Business development

  • Identify business opportunities for exploitation and propose to the Marketing Director

  • Rationalisation of product mix to improve brand contribution




  • University Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing related fields


  • Strong written and spoken English. Dialects such as Cantonese and Mandarin a plus

Professional experience & know how:

  • 7-8 years' experience as brand manager in FMCG or luxury products company

  • Key requirement is to have brand management and/or marketing experience in managing Creative comm's, Digital, media & PR

  • Having some sales experience would be advantageous though not necessarily from wines and spirits industry

Technical & management skills:

  • Brand Management / marketing capability

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of modern marketing techniques and A&P strategies

  • Knowledge of consumer marketing

  • Able to control A&P budget

  • Able to work with minimum supervision, under pressure, meet deadlines and long hours

  • Good forecasting skills

  • Good networking and negotiation skills
