AML mitigates money laundering and terrorist financing risks for Citi and its customers in the global marketplace It uses skilled analysts, state-of-the-art technology and globally standard policies and procedures to ensure effective monitoring and reporting of suspicious activities.

Global AML Scenario Management and Validation (SMV) - Strategy and Standards team has the responsibility of defining and executing SMV organization’s strategy and standards, including planning and executing critical global Consent Order Programs; strengthening execution, prioritization and measurement of results across the Book of Work; delivering on-time quality projects to meet regulatory and audit obligations Specifically, this role focuses on maintaining and improving governance across the key areas of SMV team This role requires interaction with the key stakeholders within the AML ecosystem The position also requires flexibility to be able to provide rapid support on urgent and high visibility tasks important to senior management

Lead a team of PMs managing regulatory, strategic and productivity programs for AML in APAC and:

  • Direct the scoping, resourcing, budgeting and organization of multiple programs and manage their alignment to CitiAML and SMV’s goals

  • Interface with partners and senior stakeholders to ensure that the end-to-end impacts of the changes being implemented as part of the programs are understood, resourced and prioritized

  • Direct execution of the programs and drive adherence to SMV’s Program / Project Management methodology and all Citi policies and controls

  • Regularly review project, program and portfolio level dependencies, risks and issues which might jeopardize successful execution of the programs and champion development of appropriate mitigation strategies

  • Drive timely, accurate and precise communication of status, issue, and risks to senior stakeholders at regional and global level

  • Interface with Internal Audit and Compliance Testing to facilitate reviews and validation of the Program deliverables

  • Interface with the regulators as and when required



  • 8-10 years experience in program management during which s/he applied a structured approach (methodology) to project management, planning, estimating, monitoring and reporting

  • 8-10 years experience in successfully managing complex strategic projects through the project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and ongoing support, or equivalent with major consultancy firm in project management function

  • 3 years plus experience in managing people

  • 3 year plus experience in communication and change management

  • Full professional proficiency in English language

  • Proven problem solver, self-motivated, results-oriented, and ability to multi-task in a fast moving environment with different functional areas to get the job done

  • Preferred experience in Financial Industry or consulting especially in the program management space

  • Knowledge of AML or shared services areas will be a plus
