Description

Fund Accounting Supervisor

  • Review of Net Asset Value (NAV) of funds

  • Ensure team compliant with operating policies, procedures and guidelines in the timely completion of accurate NAV

  • Accountable & ensure client deliverable are attended within stipulated service level agreements

  • Ensure all daily processes have sufficient risk & compliance controls, policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to by the team

  • Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products

  • Assist with planning and management of all relevant project work.

  • Set and maintain standards of personal and professional performance/behavior; ensuring staff accountability and adherence to company policies and code of ethics

  • Co-ordinate and implement training and development activities for individuals and the team

  • Provide coaching, guidance and support to staff on technical, professional and client management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance and/or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent)

  • At least 4-5 years fund accounting/asset management setup.

  • Good knowledge of accounting/valuation methodology of financial instruments

  • Proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage (Speaking & written)

Industry knowledge:

  • Candidate from a Mutual Fund or Asset Management company with familiarity with Global/local markets practices, regulations, industry trends and key industry segments

  • Strong technical skills including accounting principles and theories

  • Knowledge of operations Equity, Fixed Income & derivatives including but not limited to swaps, forwards, options and futures

  • Detailed knowledge of Asset Management business processes

Interpersonal skills:

  • Ability to drive and deliver efficiencies through re-engineering and process improvements ensuring optimal productivity

  • Excellent communication, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders
