Job Purpose:

  • The role of a Business Trainer is integral to the successful creation and delivery of content for GFIU Procedures and Training. The delivery and development of training is based on principles of adult learning using a variety of instructional methods and media appropriate for the proposed learning including advanced level workshops.

Job Context:

  • AML mitigates money laundering and terrorist financing risks for Citi and its customers in the global marketplace. It uses skilled analysts, state-of-the-art technology and globally standard policies and procedures to ensure effective monitoring and reporting of suspicious activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of AML training courses which are tailored to meet specific requirements or program

  • Delivers product, technical, systems, behavioral and skill-based training in a classroom or virtual environment which includes supporting the delivery of any local training requirements

  • Delivers globally developed curricula in a consistent manner

  • Facilitates coaching, communication and leadership workshops for exempt population

  • Plan, prepare, organize and execute training deliveries within agreed timeframe

  • Displays solid knowledge of course content and materials

  • Manages the learning environment to ensure desired outcomes are achieved including the transfer of knowledge

  • Provides expertise and support for project related training, which includes taking a lead role in the development and design of training modules or leading working groups for the same

  • May develop presentations on various training or supplemental topics for delivery

  • Uses assessment tools to measure and analyze training results and identify gaps in learning which will need to be addressed

  • Mentor and provide guidance to new and junior Business Trainers in the team

  • Partner with SMEs, line and mid-level management to create effective learning experiences

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to ensure training outcomes are met which includes providing input to individualized coaching plans with Reporting Managers

  • Administer classes in the GLMS including the scheduling, closing, and final reporting of classes

  • Trouble shoot training related issues within GFIU P&T which includes communicating curriculum gaps to Design and Development team

  • Coordinate facilities and materials needed for classes taught in regions supported

  • Produce, maintain MIS reports and records for GFIU P&T; adhering to Record Management requirements

  • Influences decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization

  • An effective change agent; proactive in anticipating and initiating transformation programs which improves business processes

  • Support entitlement process for trainees when needed

  • Support translation process for materials when needed

  • Adherence to GFIU P&T MCA and Audit requirements at all times, which includes supporting all internal and external reviews of these with urgency

Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least 3 years experience in a business/operations environment

  • At least 2 years experience in delivering training coaching or mentoring of junior employees on the job

  • AML or training background required

  • Technology experience with SharePoint

  • Track record of success delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • ACAMS, ICA or equivalent industry certification preferred

  • Bilingual will be an added advantage (APAC – Chinese, Japanese or Korean

  • Exceptional service, verbal and writing skills

  • Proven research skills
