Technical configuration and support of IBM operating systems (z/OS) and related software products (including Storage and OEM software).
Ensure all Operating system changes, faults and compatibility issues are defined, resolved, tested and work with client’s applications, interfaces and system software products.
Service quality Improvement and Standards are maintained, and exceeded at all times, with defined functions and client’s Service Level Agreements.
Ensure all technical documentation and work processes are current and relevant for the support of client’s services.
Ensure stable technical environments on mainframe Operation system & OEM components
Provide day to day support for the mainframe environment, with some variation in schedule to support non-prime business hours, including weekends
Collect and provide accurate system performance data & reports
Document and maintain clear and concise technical documentation, and work processes.
Scheduling and implementation of Change requests in accordance with agreed procedures.
Incident handling for resumption of services and problem resolution with root cause analysis
Daily monitoring of mainframe system metric (KPI) to identify improvement opportunities
On-call support (24 x 7) and fulfil requests/questions from clients and/or other support teams
Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
3-4 years experiences in z/OS, SMP/E, CICS, DB2, IMS,DFSMS, SAS is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and be a team player.
Ability to work closely with other support teams, customers and external suppliers.
Good analytical skills.
Knowledge of Problem management and troubleshooting skills.
