The individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining FX sales relationships with Investor clients in Malaysia and offshore Investor clients investing into Malaysia. He/she will offer the full range of FX products/services as appropriate, with a particular emphasis on flow FX and structure products. He/she will work with other teams inside and outside FX to win a dominant market share
Develop strong relationship with existing clients and explore new opportunities using all the available resources (people, products, services)
Develop strong relationship with FX trading desk to deliver competitive pricing and trade ideas to Investor clients in Malaysia and Global clients
Develop deep client knowledge of the segment and the individual clients
Day-to-day activities include prospecting, providing customers with timely market information and analysis as well as trade ideas when appropriate.
Provide effective support to our Global clients investing into Malaysia. Partner with our global Investor FX sales team to onboard new clients for direct FX or 3rd party FX opportunities.
Develop territory, prospect for, and win new clients working closely with eCommerce team and relationship managers to further penetration of our eCommerce products. Focus automation on our existing processes.
Performance will be measured against the following:
- Specific goals to be agreed with the direct/matrix manager and reviewed on a regular basis. They will include targets for client acquisition, client satisfaction and tier position, revenue of business and breadth of products and services traded.
The individual must have:
Five year experience of FX & FX options sales (or possibly trading)
Good knowledge of Investor target market – Asset Manager, Insurance, Pension Fund, SWFs and Central Bank
Ability to deliver Macro contents to both onshore and offshore Investor clients
Familiarity with structure products
Ability to speak Malay and English
Understanding of transactional services
A self-starter, able to demonstrate initiative and determination
Good communication skills at all levels
Effective and comfortable working with people across organizational boundaries to get things done
