Role Summary:

The Senior Logistics Analyst is the responsible party for all local logistics and logistics-related trade compliance operations on behalf of all the product lines operating in the country. The Senior Logistics Analyst will support all local internal and external logistics, distribution and transportation activities to ensure that the tripartite goals of legal compliance, timely delivery, and price minimization are wholly satisfied and at time provide guideline & training to the junior and new joiners. Will act as Team Lead during their absence

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all inbound or outbound logistics operations and logistics-related trade compliance in the country.

  • Performs all Specialist duties under limited supervision, reviews analyzes and recommends transportation and distribution methods and procedures to develop and utilize the most economically advantageous and efficient means of delivering the organization's products.

  • Manages more complex shipments such as hazardous material shipments, highly urgent shipments, charter flights, multi-modal shipments, Letters of Credit, etc.

  • Works closely with Trade Compliance Group and will assist lower level personnel and participate in training.

  • Handles special projects, as assigned.

  • May act as Logistics Lead in absence of Logistics Supervisor


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • At least 8 years of full-time logistics experience or with freight forwarding experience,

  • Practical local logistics and distribution experience is a key selection criteria

  • Accreditation under local customs agent or logistics regimes, if any, is preferred

Desired Characteristics:

  • Extensive knowledge of transportation/distribution methods and procedures, and the effective means of carriage for trade lanes initiating or terminating in the local countries; familiarity with all modes of carriage.

  • Expertise on local customs practices and procedures; detailed understanding of special local requirements for dangerous goods, radioactive sources and explosives; awareness of how to use local duty reduction regimes (such as free trade zones, temporary imports, bonded warehouses, etc.) and the systems required to stay completely compliant while operating under such regimes.

  • Familiarity with local freight forwarders and customs brokers, and typical fees, services, and rates

  • Familiarity with FCPA, logistics, and trade compliance policies, tools, and guidelines appearing on Interchange

  • Willingness to learn and apply advanced import regulatory requirements relating to classification, valuation, origin, the import clearance process, trade programs, and trade agreements

  • Willingness to learn and apply local (if applicable) and US export controls and economic sanctions rules

  • Willingness to learn and apply FCPA compliance guidelines as they relate to logistics operations

  • Ability to interpret and apply import and export requirements to operative facts

  • Demonstrate supervisory skills

  • Proficient in general operation of Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office software

  • Strong oral and written English skills; local language ability for one or more countries within the region preferred

  • Must be able to legally receive US technology necessary for the position, if any.
