POSITION SUMMARY Purpose Responsible for planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on E&I equipment such as DCS, analyzers and field instrumentation for IG Operations Plant Central MY.Nature and Scope The job holder is report to Maintenance Lead of Operations Central MY. The job holder requires to carry out hands on inspection, checking, calibration, repair for equipment and instruments at all the plant areas of Central MY. He/she is charge of day to day plant E&I related maintenance, troubleshooting and seek solution to resolve in safely and appropriate manner. The job holder must have hands on approach and strong work ethic as well as able to communicate with internal company personnel and external vendors effectively. DIMENSIONS Average Annual Portfolio: - Operating Budget (direct labor + overheads): - Number of Direct Reports (approximate): 0Overall Supervision (approximate): 0Other Factors: - PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES ·To carry out planned and unplanned maintenance related to electrical and instrumentation in safely manner and in compliance with Air Products’ engineering and safety standard·Perform and document maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair ofelectrical, mechanical and pneumatic instruments and systems·Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair plant instrumentation i.e., transmitters, analyzers, controlvalves, switches, relays, etc.·To carry out regular inspection on plant E & I equipment and assess their reliability and escalate up if any abnormalities. ·Work and service with a wide variety of instruments including pH, conductivity, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, mass flow, pressure transducers, RTDs, etc.·To ensure that proper safety practices and measures are adhered to. · Maintain files, logs and drawings for all designated instrumentation and electrical equipment·Inspect, repair and remove all types of generators, transformers, switches, controlequipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems, and storage batteries, andwork with electrical systems in consultation with functional engineer ·To ensure that there are adequate stock and valid expiry of span gases, proper control and recording of stock should be exercised. ·To ensure analyzers are check, validate, calibrate in accordance to planned frequency and exercise adequate cares to maintain its accuracy, reliability and functionality·To follow all the ISO 9001:2000 procedures and documentation·Perform all duties in manner consistent with environmental, health and safety policies·Maintain instrumentation and electrical spare parts inventory to maintain plant reliability·To ensure that proper care and maintenance of E&I tools are carried out.·Complete other tasks as delegated by superior MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSDiploma in Electronic/Control/Instrumentation Engineering or3+ years of experience as an I&E Technician, preferably in a process plant environment.
