AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP SS4G Business Partner in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia

SS4G Business Partner roles are being created to both drive the next phase of SS4G as well as creating a permanent internal capability. The roles will be at the center of the programme operating across the SS4G team in KL, external partners, other Transformation programmes and internal FP&A teams.

Typical Accountabilities

Stakeholder Management

  • Programme lead for selected entities working with the CFO and finance teams in the markets and the relevant external partner contacts.

  • Point-of-contact for ongoing programme activities, planning, comm’s etc.

  • Programme lead for selected cost categories working with AZ Procurement and relevant external partner contacts.

Business Analysis

  • Combine internal AZ business knowledge with external best practice and benchmarks to support the development and thorough testing of improvement initiatives. This will require objective conversations between internal and external experts and include an accurate valuation of the potential impact.

  • Maintain an RoI programme wide valuation model to assess the impact of all SS4G initiatives and costs on the P&L.

Collaborating with AZ FP&A Teams

  • Maintaining awareness of business priorities to target SS4G inputs into the Business Plan and review processes.

  • Create and maintain a central model of savings planned and realised to support the Business Plan and review process.

Collaborate with other Transformation Programmes

  • Contribute to design as appropriate eg with Finance Transformed on ZBB and the planning process, Category reporting etc.

  • Programme Reporting and monitoring as appropriate e.g. Focus to win.

Enterprise Category Leads

  • Support the creation of this important role and provide data to support as necessary.

Data Collection

  • Contribute as required to the data collection, mapping and reconciliation process to ensure a robust baseline is created.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience


  • B.S. Degree in Finance or Accounting and/or Professional Accounting qualification.

  • Knowledge of AZ operating model.

  • Excellent PC skills and experience including SAP, BW, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Strong analytical ability.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including oral and written.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment that emphasises teamwork.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a process with minimal or no supervision

  • Ability to influence others without authority.

  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities.

  • High degree of accuracy with attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines.


  • Pharmaceutical Industry Experience.

  • Previous experience working on a global project.
