We are looking for

Candidate to responsible for the management of safe installation of elevators and escalators, cost-effectively, on time and in accordance with agreed specification (contractual requirements) and ensure that goals and objectives are achieved for projects assigned.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure safe working methods and procedures in accordance with local code of practice and KONE standards.

  • Manage job costs and claims including verification.

  • Provide monthly departmental information of projects assigned, to superior.

  • Ensure professional project management practice which is fair for both the customer and KEM.

  • Program / Schedule assigned projects utilising Microsoft Project, update work load in monthly departmental report.

  • Administer contracts by acting on all project correspondence, both incoming and outgoing to minimise risk and maximise profit to KONE.

  • Manage progress claim and variation request, costs and timely claims with the customer – ensure claiming and collection of all progress and variation monies for projects assigned.

  • Clarify all outstanding data/info with the customer (scope of supply, work by others, finishes, etc.).

  • Manage site (including attend site meetings, check site conditions, ensure shaft built to KONE’s requirement (using shaft handover form), arrange secure site storage, etc), reconfirm S.O.S date and customer credibility to NEB Field Manager.

  • Ensure preparation, submission and authority approvals are obtained by company’s Lift Competent Person for projects assigned.

  • Prepare all local material suppliers / vendors as well as sub-contractor for NEB Field Manager’s approval.

  • Communicate with NEB Field Manager on all variations to orders (technical, content, time, costs).

  • Monitor site progress, confirming NRP & ex-work according to S-Plan to avoid premature delivery or late delivery.

  • Ensure timely equipment delivery, installation and handover to the customer. Ensure smooth and timely handover to SEB as per agreed handover procedure for projects assigned.

  • Ensure all handover documents is provided to the relevant parties including builders and SEB.

  • Collect and negotiate Retention Money and outstanding payments from the customer for projects assigned.

  • Perform project mobilization meetings with NEB Sales (“handover” from Sales to Field) for projects assigned.

  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in NEB Field Department in accordance with the organization’s policies for projects assigned.

Skills, Education and Experience

Professional requirements:

  • Project management

  • Basic knowledge of installation methods and pre-start requirements

  • Working knowledge of construction industry contracts

  • Basic knowledge of employment law

  • Basic knowledge of “Health and Safety at Work” codes and regulations

Entry-level requirements:

  • Completed relevant academic qualification at university or college.

  • Experience in elevator installation supervision or management.

  • Experience in supervision or management in allied trade.
