FINANCIAL ANALYST – ACCOUNTS PAYABLE (Payments) Job Description This position is a key role in the accounts payable function within Asia Pacific, in accordance with Company policies and with audit compliance with the following responsibilities: Operational: • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments. • Ensure payments and clearing are done on timely basis. • Coordinate with the bank on payment rejection, technical challenges, and other payment issues. • Work closely with country finance team/treasury team, on cash flow management. • Handle Netting and Non-Netting (Interco) payments. • Perform GR/IR ageing, analysis and reconciliation. • Perform vendor statement reconciliation. • Perform AP Balance Sheet reconciliation and ensure all reconciling items are follow-up and resolve on a timely manner. • Able to handle audit queries related to invoices • Perform all other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Team Manager. Leadership: • Assist in training new team member as requested to ensure understanding of activities and responsibilities. • Independently able to research and resolve issues. • Promoting a team environment by assisting colleagues whenever necessary. • Work closely with other finance team within the organization for monthly closing schedule and ensure deliverable is completed on a timely basis Management: • Building and maintaining positive relationships with team member and internal customer. • Ensure back up is trained and able to carry out task in one’s absence Innovation: • Proactively identify process improvement opportunities to maintain and improve the team’s processes, ensuring best practices are achieved. • Assist with system testing ensuring internal controls issues are detected, reported and working as required and assist team with systems issues and raise service desk tickets. • To streamline the payment run process globally. • Work in various projects, in various capacities, as requested by Management from time to time.
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Finance / Accounting • Work shift 2pm-11pm • Well verse with AP knowledge and at least 2 years of working experience in Shared Service environment • Operating knowledge of SAP systems • Possesses strong analytical, problem solving and inter-personal skills • Possesses excellent attention to detail, self-starter, quick learner and team player with ability to drive initiatives and change • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office application particularly Excel and Word.
