Reporting to the Brand Manager, the Assistant Brand Manager is accountable for delivering key brand projects – supporting the strategies and objectives of the brand. The manager’s primary responsibility is conceptualizing and implementing assigned consumer projects ensuring that they are aligned to brand’s strategy which shall help deliver the brand and financial objectives within the set timing, cost and quality expectations.

This position also requires the manager to lead a number of project teams and strongly collaborate with the cross-functional business team.

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):

  • Clear understanding of the Strategic Value Consumer, MPP, Consumer Journey, Connections Planning Framework of the brand working in tandem with Equity, Innovation team in alignment with Brand Manager to deliver brand growth/objectives.

  • As project owners of their brand, has strong follow up and good project management skills working with the PCM and other cross functional teams to deliver on time activation/launch into market.

  • Good technical and functional/analytical skills with good understanding of the P&L of brand. Need to work with the Category Finance team to deep dive into the P&L and come back with recommendations on how to drive down cost/improve margins.

  • Work together with the consumer insights team to draw insights and recommend actionable plans to address any brand issues/opportunities to drive growth/volume.

  • Good understanding of the processes and builds good relationships with key contact person on the demand, supply, plant and R&D team

  • Support the BM in execution of launch of any NPD, Big Bet campaigns.

  • Work well with external agencies –both creative and media agency to deliver the desired target brand objectives.

  • Understands the competitive environment and develops recommendations to address on identified projects or new projects.

  • Familiar and able to competently use Nielsen Answers, Kantar and Dunhumby scan sales and integrate with shopper data/insights to drive and recommend solutions to address brand objectives.

  • Able to work well with the regional equity and innovation team to align and drive business results aligned with business.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree from top universities, preferably in Business/Marketing

  • Knowledgeable in computer (powerpoint, excel, word)

  • Minimum 2 years related working experience in FMCG Industry doing brand/project management work

  • At least 8 years experience in consumer marketing, preferably with fast-moving consumer goods or consumer food industries.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong presentation, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Knowledge in media management and the advertising development process are required.

  • Should be independent in analyzing situations and formulating solutions as well as appropriately use discretion in referring to superior input
