Dell Technical Sales Representative in Penang, Malaysia
Responsible for designing, quoting, and selling Dell Storage solutions (PowerVault, PS & SC Series) in the assigned segment or territory with plans to expand to Unity, XtremeIO, Vmax, Isilon, Data Protection, Hyper Converged and Emerging storage solutions. Builds and maintains customer relationships (both internal and external) by providing leadership and guidance for Dell EMC storage solutions while ensuring there is always a rapid, accurate response to customer needs via email or phone.
· Qualifies Storage sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision making process and funding.
· Independently drives and closes smaller storage deals (Run Rate).
· For large or complex deals, prepares detailed product specifications for selling high end Dell Storage products and solutions. Works with the DCSE team to put together winning bids.
· Requires a high degree of technical competency to respond to customer needs and to discuss product capabilities and applications with technical users/buyers
· May focus on new account development and/or expanding existing accounts
· Leverages cross-functional resources to achieve results/meet customers/partners needs
- At least 6 years’ experience in IT infrastructure field – at least 4 years in a sales role.
- Knowledge of storage and converged sales a must.
- Demonstrated track record in delivering sales results.
- Sharp business acumen, entrepreneur spirit and experiences desirable.
- Fluent spoken English and good command of written English.
- Tertiary education in IT, Business Management or equivalent is desirable
