Manager, Global Planning

The Global Planning Manager has global responsibility for the efficient planning, execution, and flow of materials across the entire supply chain from the supply base to support Aftermarket sales for both external and IDO customers and spare parts stocking in the global distribution centers.

  • Provide leadership and structure to the Penang aftermarket Global Planners by executing a Management Operating System that ensures optimal alignment between Supply Plan, Customer Demand & Manufacturing Capacity Drive Operational Excellence through development and implementation of improvements in planning and production control processes, including ongoingimprovements in Class A MRPII, Planning Performance and Integration, Global Distribution Optimization.
  • Supply inputs for and support SIOP activities Plan and execute production and delivery of OEM and Aftermarket products to optimize customer OTTR, OTD, Past Due, Overmax and other performance goals.
  • Support inventory planning activities, participate in tiered accountability process, and interface with SBU contacts to ensure closed loop feedback.
  • Plan and Execute aftermarket plan for end unit sales, spares sales, rotable bank health, red/yellow bins, and held units.
  • Manage demand, Drive supply plan, and Execute shipment releases to support Aftermarket demand.
  • Utilize tools to analyze global inventory for a specific product group and align for optimal service level performance with minimal inventory in global network.
  • Utilize tools to analyze global inventory and determine optimal stocking location based on service level requirements for a specific product group.
  • Lead tiered accountability process that ensures proper prioritization, allocation and communication of hardware availability to support Direct Spares, AMS and R&O requirement Maintain and communicate Performance Metrics to including Leading (Projected OTD, SS Position) and Lagging Indicators Execution of demand planning across OEM and aftermarket businessplanning organizations.
  • Coordination with the Aftermarket planning team to optimize the flow of parts to AMS customers.
  • Drive maturity of SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) process.
  • Development, implement and refine planner desk level metrics. Drive consolidated reporting initiatives across sites.
  • Talent development through MRR/P&D process.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or other related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with demonstrated success in a number of roles across the areas of supply management, manufacturing planning, quality,procurement, supply chain planning and execution Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25%

  • Excellent working knowledge of advanced Supply Chain practices and MPR systems
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing complex process and systems change projects.APICS CSCP, CPIM and/or CIRM certifications are desirable.
  • Demonstrated capability to improve and strengthen internal processes as well as the ability to drive Supply Chain management principles collaboratively with Suppliers and Customers.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence up, down, and across the organization.

  • Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean certification preferred
