Main Purpose:

  • To maintain and serviceexisting customers and assist in developing new business.

  • To gain market share inspecific business by promoting, selling and servicing Medtronic’s specificproducts within assigned territory.

  • To achieve AOP for the Coronarybusiness in Malaysia.


  • Achieve sales revenue andmarket share targets for a specified territory, by promoting definedMedtronic products to key specialist and technical staff for a specificbusiness.

  • Plan and implement sales callplans and provide field reports to Sales Manager.

  • Provide ongoing, timelycustomer support by providing product information and use of productsthrough appropriate communication channels.

  • Ensure customer order cycle iscomplete. Maintain communication with internal Medtronic inventory controlstaff to ensure goods are delivered according to lead time.

  • Gather and communicate marketintelligence (pricing, competitor’s activities, customer demands) andmaintain a thorough knowledge of hospital usage of Medtronic versuscompeting products and activities.

  • Work closely with customerservice and supply chain to ensure inventories and consigned goods areaccounted and fully utilize.

  • Practice good management interms of planning, administration and expense planning and control. Complywith Medtronic’s code of conduct at all times.

  • Ensure the company’s agreedquality standards are maintained with regard to its products procedures,policies, operations, customer

  • Ensure the highest level ofproduct knowledge is attained and maintained.

  • Organize and participate inconferences and seminars.

  • Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE)– To actively utilise SFE processes for planning, delivering and analyzingsales calls.


  • Superior product knowledge.Able to absorb complex technical product knowledge.

  • Ability to plan, organizes,monitor and execute workshop/technical training session.

  • Strong interpersonal,communication, negotiation skills.

  • Results and Qualityorientation.

  • Good command of Englishlanguage.

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Min. 2 to 4 years of Sales orCustomer Service experience.

  • 2 to 4 year sales experience inmedical field.


  • Bachelor degree inmedical/biomedical or nursing (not required, but preferred)
