What You'll Do

As the Regional Manager you will be responsible for the Malaysia Service Provider business. The Malaysian market is key to the overall Cisco Service Provider business and your responsibilities will be to grow the business, develop executive relationships with all customers as well as lead the sales team in Malaysia.

You will be responsible for positioning and promoting the partner value proposition and leading account managers in the development and expansion of opportunities. You will also develop and execute country service provider sales strategy and tactics that maximize Cisco opportunity within the customer environment. Along with sales planning, this position is responsible for accurate forecasting.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define sales strategy, plan, develop, and manage the landscape for the Malaysian Service Provider business, while executing Cisco's strategy and meeting Cisco's financial targets

  • Lead a sales team to jointly envisage, create and accelerate joint managed services into the market with top tier Service Providers

  • Be an integral part of the business planning process and ensure close interaction and collaboration with the Architecture sales teams, ASEAN Partner Organisation, and GSP account teams on all aspects of building the SP business

Who You'll Work With

The Regional Manager will work hand in hand with Cisco Architectures, Partner Organisation leadership, along with other operational functions (Marketing, Finance, Legal, Support, etc.) and external partners to develop the Service Provider business. This position will work closely with Cisco ASEAN leadership to drive key business initiatives and will be based in KL.

Who You Are

  • 15+ years of experience in Telco/ IT industry

  • Passionate and willing to go the extra mile to grow market share

  • Knowledge of Global Service Provider market trends

  • Demonstrated successes as a sales leader and mentor in a demanding and rewarding sales environment

  • Understands how to evaluate, interpret, and incorporate financial data in daily decisions to understand the organization's financial goals and focus the efforts in solving complex partner needs.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain executive level relationships at customers, partners and within Cisco.

  • Experience building actionable long and short term account plans based on a deep understanding of the impacts of business and technology trends.

  • Expert at identifying and leading the appropriate resources (internal and external) required to develop and execute major commercial strategic initiatives.

  • Working across Boundaries - Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple business units, partners and solution teams in complex business engagements to leverage multiple IT domains in creating vertical/segment specific solutions for our customers

  • Strategic Vision - Develops short and long-term strategy for commercial model within the country.
