* Position Summary: *

This senior management position will play anessential role in developing; implementing and driving the annual PR plan, devising key objectives and currentinitiatives while leading all PR activities relating to the hotels. The rolewill be responsible

oLead and direct thecluster PR function, and create and implement all PR and social mediastrategies within budget guidelines and ROI targets

oResponsible forenforcing key performance indicators relating to all PR activities, socialmedia, promotional campaigns and producing performance reports to share to keystakeholders

oFull responsibility forall media relations activities throughout the hotels ensuring all media and presskits are up to date, media visits and familiarisation trips are relevant to theproperties and executed perfectly and press releases, features, events,newsletters, brochures are delivered and accomplished to an outstanding level

oDirect and lead all internalcommunications initiatives and strategies to include developing stories,filming, responding to requests quickly, sharing information with keystakeholders and ensuring all written work is accurate, professional and brandcompliant

oEnsure full PR supportis given towards initiatives relating to hotel departments

oWork alongside thecommercial team to support activity to boost growth of Hilton Honors, Hilton’sguest loyalty program by adhering to on-property guidelines

oLead the PR team inidentifying PR opportunities using competitive environment analysis, topicalnews and consumer trends

oIdentify and drive asound and creative social media strategy for the hotels and supportdepartmental initiatives

oIdentify, develop andgrow communication opportunities with key media, local industry bodies andrelevant community partners

oEnsure hotels maximiseall media, brand, and PR activity locally whilst ensuring alignment withglobal, national and regional initiatives

oHandle all appropriateuse of brand and PR content, creative resources, translation and photographywhile optimising an effective online presence in line with regional strategy

oDeliver performancegoals, communication targets, PR and social media/online channels objectives ofrole set out by the Line Manager

oResponsible foreffective PR planning including smooth implementation processes and leadexecution of all PR and social media initiatives

oManage and executecommunication and PR projects in line with resources and budget objectives

oBe the PR lead in thehotels’ commercial focus meetings and proactively identify revenue-drivingopportunities with other key stakeholders

oEnsure full brandcompliance across all PR initiatives on hotel level

oLead effective contentmanagement strategy across all available channels, including hotel websites,social media and mobile marketing

oLead all internal andexternal PR meetings and attend relevant industry events, training workshopsand trade-shows

oPrepare fully for seniormanagement media interviews ensuring detailed Q&A is approved in advanceand interview is fully supported and conducted professionally

oManage requests andensure efficient and relevant communication to all internal and externalstakeholders

* BuildingRelationships *

oEstablish excellent opencommunication with all operational teams, i.e. GM, DBD, F&B and otherdepartment heads throughout the hotels and regionally

oProactively develop andmaintain good working relationships with various levels of Hilton’s regionaloperations including corporate communications, sales, finance, corporate brandteams, eCommerce, marketing, loyalty and partnerships teams

oEnsure alignment acrosscorporate and regional campaigns, brand support, eCommerce and marketing

oEstablish and developeffective working relationships with industry organisations, community leaders,local and municipal government officials and media representatives

oProactively develop andmaintain effective working relationships with all external customers to includekey members of the design and media agencies, partnerships and online marketingteams

oEnsure entire PRdepartment understands the importance of being effective team players to allcorporate, regional and hotel level personnel by demonstrating a ‘can do’ andcustomer focused attitude, providing peer support, cross-functional and acrossregions


* Required: *

oBachelor’s Degree inMarketing, Communications, Public Relations or Business

oExperience of working ina similar senior PR position in the consumer/lifestyle sector for a number ofyears

oExperience of directing,managing and motivating a winning team along with evidence of drivingsuccessful team results

oAn advanced knowledge ofcreating, leading and managing projects, recognising priorities and working totight deadlines

oExperience ofdeveloping, creating and managing PR campaigns with associated costs andworking to budget restraints

oWidespread knowledge ofleading key functions relating to PR strategies and initiatives whilst managingmultiple work streams

oConsiderable experiencein developing and implementing effective and realistic PR plans and strategies,including budget evaluation, extensive communication written work, managementand reporting

oDemonstrates ability tointeract effectively with various levels of management

* Preferred: *

oMaster’s degree inBusiness, Communications or Marketing

oPrevious experience ofworking in a senior PR role in the hospitality industry with a global leader

oQualifications inproject and time management


* Required: *

oOutstandingcommunication skills in all areas of writing, listening and speaking English.Developed proficiency of native language dependant on location of role. In thiscase, it is Bahasa Malay.
