We’re seeking a Business DevelopmentManager, based in our Malaysia office. In this role, you will approach and liaise with business prospects on behalf of Western Union to attract and maintain new clients. You will influence everyone from the owner of a start-up to the FD or CEO of a large, established corporate. You may initially consult with them on their currency requirements, risk profile and payment solutions and progress toward securing sustainable, profitable trading relationships.

  • Responsiblefor managing and expanding our agent network in Malaysia.

  • Spenda majority of your time prospecting and expanding the agent networkthrough new agent signings and organic growth through existing agents, andthe remaining time will be focused on account management of existing agentrelationships.

  • Accountablefor maximizing and expanding opportunities for agent networks.

  • Responsiblefor Strategy & Execution of TREL (Transaction, Revenue &Locations) in the SBU.

  • Yourstrong relationship management skills (Agents) will help build and manageour relationship with the agents in order to maximize business drives/TRELgrowth in the SBU (Strategic business unit).

  • Youwill be doing negotiations with agents on contract and ongoing business andyou should be a strong negotiator with experience in large contracts withFIs and non FIs.

  • Youwill continuously explore and identify new business opportunities thru newrelationships/consumer opportunity mapping.

  • Workwith operations team to ensure effective support is delivered to agentsand the network and monitor network efficiency as well as itsproductivity.

  • Partneringwith central marketing team to ensure ATL effectiveness in the region.

  • Planningand executing BTL activities within the SBU to ensure customeracquisition, brand awareness and brand loyalty.

  • Accountablefor ROI on regional budgets & regional budgets. Your consumer insightand experience in the local market is needed as you will be responsible toliaise with our customer portfolio in a face to face basis.

  • Providedirection & guidance to team and work with our local HR to ensureconstant engagement and development. You will also continuously developpeople thru mentoring and coaching.

  • Thisis a senior role within the financial services industry, reportingdirectly to the Chief Executive Officer of Western Union Malaysia. Basedin Kuala Lumpur but you will be required to travel across the countryevery couple of weeks to visit agent locations and prospect for newclients.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Universitydegree with at least 5 - 7 years’ experience in Business Development andCorporate Account management within the banking or financial servicesector.

  • Wellversed in liaising with C-level executives and decision makers and have excellentcommunication skills to close large market deals for the company.

  • Ableto make sound judgement in managing the deals and accounts assigned toyou.

  • Energeticgo-getter, hungry for success & does not mind delivering additionalad-hoc assignments/projects in the call of duty.

  • Possessa great positive attitude and a can-do attitude to win.

  • Excellentcommand of the English language. Your expertise in liaising with clientsin Bahasa Melayu or Mandarin is an advantage.

  • Proficientin Standard IT and network interfaces, such as Microsoft applications(PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) as well as the intranetenvironments.

  • Energeticgo-getter, hungry for success & does not mind delivering additionalad-hoc assignments/projects in the call of duty.

  • Possess a great positive attitude and a can-do attitude to win.
