About the Opportunity

The Team Lead SAP HR is responsible for the delivery of detailed design, build, testing and deployment of all projects and change requests related to SAP HR ensuring the solution will meet the business requirements and in line with applicable BHP Billiton technology standards.

Key remit:

  • Establish and lead a team of internal and external experts to deliver detailed design, build, testing and deployment and governance within the assigned SAP HR, Success Factors and Payroll Projects and Change requests working with the release managers and project managers with agreed quality and timelines.

  • Lead, coach, develop, plan and maintain work assignments of team members. Supervise efforts of team members, providing guidance to team members when necessary to achieve project and delivery commitments. Energy, enthusiasm and drive to make things happen by motivating the team.

  • Recognised as the functional expert and go-to person within SAP HR, having deep functional/business expertise within SAP HR. Understand cross-functional integration issues, and work with other team leads to develop appropriate solutions. Design, develop, and document complex operational and technical processes, functions, and procedures involving SAP HR. Performs complex functional configuration, modification, and testing tasks involving complex components of SAP HR.

  • Single point accountability for the ownership and ongoing maintenance of all Blueprints within the assigned SAP HR area.

  • Ensure all proposed SAP HR & Payroll and Success Factors change requests and projects follow BHP Billiton technology architecture standards, GLD’s, Estimate reviews, SOX adherence. Ensure and maintain the operational integrity of the SAP HR Solution.

  • Assist the SAP TCC center lead to develop policies and processes for the TCC, using accepted best practices and proactively look for continuous improvement opportunities for TCC processes.

  • Commits to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development, as well as BHP Billiton's Charter and Code of Conduct

About you

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in a relevant field

  • Between 10-15 years of post-qualification experience within SAP HR & Payroll and Success Factors working in a multinational organization

  • A track record of success working on large, complex SAP related projects as a team lead. Understanding of the integration with other SAP modules is critical due to our complex environment

  • Expert knowledge of SAP Process, design and configuration experience in at least 2 or more of the following areas required: SAP Human Capital Management, Payroll (SG, US, MY, AU, Chile, UK), Success Factors and knowledge of other HR process areas including Reward, Learning, Talent, Succession Planning, Personnel Administration and Organizational Management

  • Ability to lead and work effectively in a diverse and globally dispersed virtual team environment, guiding and supporting team members

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to present and discuss technical information with the business users in business language

  • Strong relationship building/networking skills and ability to influence key stakeholders

  • Builds highly cohesive teams with high energy levels and constructive, positive cultures

  • Ability to enforce structure and discipline but remain flexible to situational priorities and provide timely decision making.
