At the moment Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Glenmarie is looking for a Credit Manager to join our friendly and professional team. You will report to the Director of Finance & Business Support and we are looking for the following:

  • Responsible over the Hotel's credit policy and also the full spectrum of credit control and management

  • Cooperates,coordinates and communicates with guests and other departments in mattersconcerning issuance of credit, follow up on outstanding accounts and assistingwith credit requirements

  • Reviewing and maintaining the Aged TrialBalance of Accounts Receivable

  • Monitors thespecial billing arrangements for groups and conventions as required to ensurethat postings are in line with customer requirements

  • Reviews city ledgerdaily for correct postings of charges and take corrective action wherenecessary

  • Monitor and pursuecollection of overdue accounts

  • Review bad debtslisting monthly to prepare collectability analysis for monthly provision fordoubtful debts

  • Respond to andresolve account queries in conjunction with accounts receivable

  • Assists in controland collection of outstanding guest and city ledger accounts

  • Prepare managementreports for month end analysis and provide documentation for credit meeting

  • Review provision,write-offs and other adjustments immediately prior to month end

  • Conduct monthlycredit meeting with relevant Hotel's teamhighlightingmonthly performance, bad debts, staff accounts outstanding and discuss anyaccounts causing concern and follow up

  • Assists inmaintaining and preparing accurate and timely financial and operatinginformation with emphasis on the Aged Trial Balance of Accounts Receivable

  • Assists inproviding safe keeping, including proper storage and access, for all contracts,leases and other financial records


Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance and 2 - 4 years in hotel credit or accounting at least 2 years in as a Credit Manager or similar supervisory role. Knowledge of credit control, preparing as needed or requested. Professional accounting or finance designation or certification preferred. Must be fluent in written and spoken English as well as Malay.

Must be able to work legally in Malaysia.
