We have a requirement for a Commercial Analyst. The incumbent will be a key team member in the Commercial Excellence team, assisting to maximise the value capture of tender activity (pre-tender, during & post tendering focus) for Weatherford Malaysia, Philippines and Brunei. Involves the co-ordination of tender responses in addition to providing analytics on tender activity to drive tender response prioritisation (targeted clients & Business Unit products / services) and maximise Weatherford revenue and profitability rate of return. The Commercial Analyst formally coordinates the tendering process, working with others including the Commercial Excellence Leader, Business Unit Managers, Sales & Marketing Manager, Key Account Managers and other personnel on the overall preparation and submission of all new bids and tenders. The Commercial Analyst will collaborate with the respective key account managers, business unit managers, commercial excellence leader and directly as needed with clients, to capture the customer and market intelligence, pre & post-tender status, to assist Weatherford to set the strategic direction of each tender response.
Key areas of responsibility include;
Perform the required tasks to achieve execution of Business and Operational Plan.
Develop and implement robust systems, policies and procedures in relation to tendering activity to maximise organizational efficiencies.
Coordinate the tendering activity for Weatherford Australasia to maximise the success of tender and RFQ submissions and the value of tenders to the company;
Manage the tendering process, from receipt of tender to compilation to submission to award/non-award;
Support the operation of the company’s Tender Review Board (TRB) Committee;
Primary receiver of all incoming tenders;
Maintain Tender electronic file structure;
Create tender performance scorecard and maintain monthly reporting. Analyse tender win, loss, value, awarded supplier on monthly basis. Provide insights into Weatherford Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities for improvement and areas of threat
Control and archive all Tender related correspondence appropriately;
Format the presentation of Tender submissions in a professional and accurate manner;
Coordinate compilation of information required for Tender submission;
Supervise administrative support available in preparation of tender submissions;
Work with members of the Sales and Marketing team, Area Managers, General Manager, Sales Manager, Business Unit Managers, Key Account Managers and personnel, QHSSE Manager and HR Manager (as required) through the tender build process;
Liaise with the Legal, Risk, Credit and Tax departments to secure their advice on all aspects relating to tender submissions;
Work closely with the key account team, accompanying them to visit their counterparts in clients (as required) on tender related matters;
Work closely with the key account team, Business unit managers accompanying them to visit their clients (as required) on tender after action reviews, related matters;
Assist with the completion of the BSA relating to Tender proposals (as required);
Monitor tender activity and tender forward look on a weekly basis providing management with analysis as appropriate;
Maintain and keep up to date the tender resources library;
Work closely with Business Unit Managers and personnel to educate them on the requirements of the tendering process consistent with their responsibilities;
Assist with the coordination and control process of Contract Administration including initial contract document, amendments, variations etc as required;
Assist with maintenance of Contract electronic file structure and current Active Contract database as required; and
Other duties as required to meet the operational needs of the business.

To be successful you will ideally have the following skills and experience;
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent with at least 5 years of commercial / business intelligence experience.
Ability to adapt positively to changes in policies, procedures, priorities or environments.
Willingness to travel to other countries, if required.
Good analytical skills.
