About the role

We are excited to be bringing together our HR professionals into a single global team. Our team's purpose is tocarry out specific data processing and reconciliation activities for BHP Billiton's Reward sub-function, particularly relating to executive share vesting and share plus in a timely and accurate manner.

In this role you will:

  • Conform with the BHP Billiton Charter, Code of Conduct, GLDs and relevant statutory obligations

  • Have an overriding commitment to health, safety and environment responsibility and to sustainable development

  • Understand BHP Billiton HR operating model

  • Accurately process reward related employee master data in 1SAP such as share income and tax, executive vesting, shareplus contribution and additional employee payments (i.e. dividends, refunds, DEPs etc.).

  • Perform data validations and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy

  • Execute periodic reports, such as the annual eligibility report and submitted to Group Reward

  • Work with various key stakeholders to address issue or enquires by effectively troubleshoot, analyse and resolve routine, difficult/complex or non-standard issues with minimal supervision.

  • Perform BAU system and/or process testing as required

  • Create frequently used ad hoc reports on an as-need basis

  • Delivers training and provides coaching to team members

  • Develop and updates process documentations

  • Have working knowledge of relevant policies and legislation and ensure reflected in processes, documentation and calculators.

  • Be the Subject matter expert (SME) for Equity.

  • Maintain good working relationships with peers within the BHP Billiton HR community (HRBP’s, Group Reward) and liaise with Solium as required

  • Collaborate with other GPC HR operational teams

  • Liaise with payroll accountants to reconcile payments received from Solium

  • Identifying and implement improvement opportunities to create efficiencies.

About you

  • Degree or any relevant qualification in Human Resource/Business

  • Attention to detail, conscientious and able to work independently with minimum supervision

  • Abilities to troubleshoot and to resolve issue/queries in a speedy manner

  • Learning agility – able to grasp new concepts quickly and be able to apply immediately

  • Being flexible and adaptable, and find new ways of solving challenges.

  • Ability to review and handle high volumes of data; prior experience with bulk data management desirable

  • Has working knowledge of relevant policies and legislation

  • Background or interest in payroll ,master data, year-end process

  • Basic knowledge of reward or equity principles (i.e. share vesting ), taxes and payroll will be an advantage

  • Intermediate excel skill (i.e. Vlookup , pivot table) at minimum

  • Possess strong ability to effectively communicate across a variety of organisational levels.
