Responsible and accountable for sales and clinical support functions in Malaysia for Spine surgery in Perak and Penang.
To maintain andservice existing customers and assist in increasing the number of cases bythese accounts.
To identify highpotential accounts to be developed into new implanting centers
·To achieve AOP while looking out for new business opportunities.
·To promote DBS to referral hospitals to generate patient referral by working along-side Market Development team.
·To practice good territory management in terms of organization, administration and expense planning and control.
·To ensure that the Company’s agreed quality standards are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.
·Ensure technical competence in Spine surgery and support all cases independently.
·Develop and implement sales marketing business plan and account development plans for specified accounts. Provide meaningful reports to the Sales Supervisor/Manager.
·Ensure the delivery of high quality and prompt professional supports to patients and clinicians in order to grow the business in all accounts.
·Expand the customer base and sales by establishing regular contact with key specialists, technical staff and administration personnel, including staff within the welfare department for funding (if applicable).
- Expand Spine marketby identifying new implanting centers through thorough assessment of theirpotential in terms of prescribers motivation, clinicians’ clinicalcapability for adoption, infrastructure readiness, patient profile andpatient load
·Ensure the highest level of product knowledge is attained and maintained.
·Support sales activities by holding presentations. This may be for customers ranging from senior clinicians to nursing staff.
·In consultation with senior staff/sales manager, ensure customers and prospective customers are technically competent through: in-services, and/or regular product updates through correspondence and mailings.
·Provide technical back up for implants and follow up clinics, as required.
·Ensure customer sales cycle is complete, i.e. managing PO and payment
·Be the main contact to the purchasing department and responsible for all budgeting and tendering processes.
·Encourage team environment by offering support in other territories as needed.
·When requested, act as a mentor and coach to junior staff.
·Deliver sales forecast to maintain stock levels adequately.
·Monitor and control local inventory in terms of consignment, shelf life, and turnover.
·Gather and communicate market intelligence (pricing, competitor’s activities, customer demands) and maintain a thorough knowledge of hospital usage of Medtronic versus competing products and activities.
·Assist in the organization and participate in conferences and seminars.
·Complete surveys which provide assessment of customer satisfaction of Key markets and accounts.
·Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.

Skill, Experience and Knowledge:
·Computer literacy and basic word processing skills in Office Suite are essential.
·Minimum five (5) years experience in the medical/healthcare industry.
·Experience within the Spine field will be an added advantage.

·Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, biomedical science, nursing or general science degree or similar, preferred
Working Environment/ Conditions:
