DESCRIPTION:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Revenue accounting for APJ, or additionally assigned regions. This candidate will have ultimate responsibility of ensuring that all financial requirements are met for their area both on US GAAP and Local Statutory Requirements.

  • Responsibilities include monthly accounting close, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition guidance and other Corporate accounting policy. Involvement in post close analysis & reporting like CFR (Consolidated Financial Review) analysis and fluctuation commentary. Support any CSA and SOX audit and testing as necessary and handle internal & external auditor process on statutory audits and/or quarterly reporting

  • Candidate will be responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals at various levels, and will support the professional and technical development of each member by setting departmental goals, creating individual objectives and providing timely and meaningful feedback.

  • This candidate will serve as a point of escalation for the team and educate the team on how to handle more complex accounts and issues.

  • The Accounting Manager will also be responsible to ensure compliance to policies and accounting guidelines, as well as internal controls.

  • Candidate will be a driver of change, drive simplification, global alignments, and centralization opportunities.

This position will provide support to the controller/FPA of the organization, and the business leaders as necessary. This position will require interaction with other accounting teams, SCG, IT for systems, support enablement projects, or ad-hoc reporting.

QUALIFICATION:

Qualifications :

  • Working experience of 7-10 years, preferably in an accounting firm and/or MNC, with people management experience.

  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting or Professional Qualification

  • Well versed in various accounting practices, processes and policies, to include revenue recognition, deferred costs, and complex accounting concepts.

  • Must also have a solid understanding of the close process, including journal entries, invoicing, accruals, as well as all facets of forecasting, variance and ad hoc reporting.

  • Demonstrated experience and accomplishments in working with internal/external business partners

  • Business controls / process improvement experience preferred

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Must be a critical thinker, self-motivated, and able to constructively evaluate, review and resolve a variety of issues that arise throughout the course of business.

Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task & ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
