In the Finance division, our reporting and controlling teams are working on tasks like asset management, financial integration of mergers and acquisitions, as well as USGAAP-reporting. Our objective is to display all business activities in a financially correct and transparent manner.

Job Description

Leads a team of Accounting and Finance professionals to partners with Country Controller and Corporate to ensure Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss under his/her care is properly accounted per Finance and Accounting policies and in compliance with both US and Local GAAP. Communicates and drives adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the organization's financial goals and policies. Has the fiduciary responsibility to represent financial results correctly both internally and externally. Ensures strong business controls

Main responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for all accounting and financial aspects of an assigned function and/or account(s) in the Global Financial Solutions function.

  • This candidate will have ultimate responsibility of ensuring that all financial requirements are met for their area. Responsibilities include ensuring balance sheet reviews, monthly accounting close, balance sheet reconciliations are completed in compliance to policies and accounting guidelines, as well as internal controls. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting control self-assessment, ICFR/SOX audit and testing as well as handling internal & external audit processes.

  • This candidate will be responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals at various levels, and will support the professional and technical development of each member by setting departmental goals, creating individual objectives and providing timely and meaningful feedback.

  • This candidate will educate the team on how to handle more complex accounts and issues, and will be a point of escalation for the team.

  • Additionally, this position will provide support to the controller of the organization, and the Operational leaders as necessary. This position will require interaction with the operations team and other financial organizations within Hewlett Packard Enterprise on ad-hoc reporting and to drive process improvements, simplification or other ad-hoc projects

About the candidate


Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum working experience of 8+ years, preferably in an accounting firm and/or MNC

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting and/or professional qualification and well versed in various accounting practices, processes and policies.

  • Must also have a solid understanding of the close process, including journal entries, balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations.

  • Demonstrated experience and accomplishments in working with internal/external business partners

  • Business controls / process improvement experience preferred

  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Must be a critical thinker, self-motivated, and able to constructively evaluate, review and resolve a variety of issues that arise throughout the course of business.

  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to multi-task & ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
