Within the Global Inventory Control teamin Dell, we are looking for a Sr. Analyst, InventoryManagement to join our team in Dell Penang (APCC2 - Bukit Mertajam), Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciliations and ad hoc inventory adjustments are completed in a timely manner to support accurate reporting of inventory balances quarterly.

  • Support Dells third party outbound fulfillment and reverse supply chain facilities.

  • Analyze results & report to the management team.

  • Analyzes information to select appropriate options from defined alternatives.

  • Drive for root cause/corrective actions with proper closure and action plan with stakeholders.

  • Ensure that appropriate root cause and corrective actions are driven to reduce variation in reported inventory balances.

  • Facility or functional operations are in compliance with all required physical inventory controls.

  • Complete all inventory control audits as required and drive corrective action for any findings.

  • Develop new audits where areas of risk are identified within the business.

  • Self-directed and independent in completing business objectives.

  • Leads projects impacting inventory to optimize and standardize an Inventory management process and drive for consistency.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects within team or with business partners to drive process improvements or share knowledge.

  • Engage, maintain & share best practices with your global team.

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a global team., Applies communication skills to provide service, coordinate information and collaborate with others.

  • Regularly interacts with internal customer and first line manager/s.

  • Capabilities to make judgment to make decision or resolve issue within defined options or standard protocols.


Essential Requirements

  • Relevant 3 to 5 years of experience in Operations, Finance & Accounting, Audit, Supply Chain or IT working with large datasets.

  • Advanced analytical and MS computer skills especially in Excel, plus a Bachelors degree is required.

  • Proficiency speaking and writing English.

  • Knowledge of Dell IT systems or similar systems (Inventory, Financial, Planning etc.).

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems and experience with testing procedures to support process/system changes.

  • Self-directed and independent when completing business objectives.
