Dell Sr Advisor, Accounting in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia

Vendor Funding Accounting team is to support and work with business to track, book, invoice as well as collect the funding from vendors based on the performance on services, co-marketing, product development or purchasing activities as agreed on the contract.

Your key responsibilities will include:

· Support monthly accounting close, journal bookings, balance sheet reconciliations per Dell Corporate Accounting Policy

· Support & work with Finance / Marketing team to drive for reducing long aging receivable, outlook variance & also provides vendor collection updates

· Work closely with team lead on ad hoc reporting and statutory audit requests

· Quarter end reporting & FLUX analysis

· Perform or support any CSA and SOX audit and testing as necessary

· Involve in project UAT, improve the process via simplification & standardization etc

· To lead, coordinate & conduct the audit for the quarterly Opex checklist

· This position requires attention to detail, while also managing relationships and expectations through various levels of management. The position requires strict adherence to close and reporting deadlines. The ideal candidate must demonstrate initiative, be organized and be able to work well independently and within a team

To be considered for this role, you will offer the following requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification

· Minimum working experience of 8 years, preferably in an accounting firm and/or MNC

· Excellent communication skills & proficient in English

· Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills, critical thinking

· Strong financial acumen and organization skills with the ability to multi-task

· Strong ability in driving process improvement and operation efficiency and detailed oriented

· Strong interpersonal, self-motivated & pro-active, a team player

· Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, flexibility to work beyond regular working hours

· Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint etc). Oracle user knowledge is an added advantage.
