Dell Analyst, IT Service Ops in BAYAN LEPAS, Malaysia
Provides holistic support and proactive monitoring of overall health of IT applications, IT tools, Infrastructure (hardware, data, Software, Datacenter), security and information management systems. Utilizes appropriate diagnostic tools to resolve issues within the complex global technical, business and mission critical environments.
Awareness of the impact and urgency of the availability of IT critical applications.
Works with other IT groups and business units to lead, monitor, notify and resolve system outages.
Resolve all monitoring incidents within SLA targets
Detect critical Incident through monitoring dashboard(Empirix, OEM, SCOM, GOMEZ, Foglight etc)
Timely and accurately document resolution activities.
Diagnose, prioritize and escalate tickets to Level 2 Support
Follow up on escalated issues with Level 2 support and Monitoring Engineering team where applicable
Able to work on 12hours shift and public holiday.
University level degree in IT or related field.
1-3 years working experiences/ training in current and emerging technology and standards i.e. Oracle SQL&PL/SQL, Microsoft ASP/VB, Microsoft .Net,Weblogic/Java.
Those with experience in software applications support will have added advantage.
Infrastructure knowledge is an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills and fluency (written and spoken) in English.
Able to work on a shift rotation including weekends.
Strong team player with ability to work in a team and as individual contributor.
Good analytical, problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
