Job Title Shift Production Manager

Job Description

  1. To lead a shift team in ensuring getting WAMOS number and target for each area, Scrap 1 - 4 as budget.

  2. Upon having any obstacles (machine breakdown, defective WIP, insufficient manning, certain area jammed up), to manage it immediately by utilizing any required personnel (regardless from which BT's / department) from that shift or to request immediate support from other shift team or normal crew.

  3. To overrule any program / schedule ant any BT's (if there's a necessity) in order to fulfill Curing and Final Finish requirement.

  4. To ensure all process at all BT's run smooth with the shift. If any deviation detected, to react immediately within the shift and to get support from any Continental Alor Setar personnel.

  5. To have an open and multi channel communication within Production department or supporting department (all level) in order to ensure all process are according to schedule / plan.

  6. Responsible to apply required disciplinary procedures with subordinates that does not follow company policy and rules, as well to apply PEP for subordinates which are not performing to required standard.

  7. Responsible for identifying specific training needs for his / her team members and ensure the development and training of his / her people are carried out via support from Shopfloor Training and Human Relations.

  8. To supervise, train and guide shopfloor staff to ensure their safety and health.

  9. To provide subordinates with appropriate safety information and protective equipment or clothing

Job Requirements

  1. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Manufacturing field.

  2. Minimum 8 years experience in manufacturing environment, outspoken and self driven.

  3. Preferred high volume manufacturing environment, high mix and high complexity.

  4. Hold leadership position for minimum 5 years and understanding of 7 leadership principles.
